Information for Young Women
Encouragement page for young women to learn to fly with information
on scholarships, links to female pilot sites, and inspiring experience
reports from some who did it. The FTAC Girls page was created
for young women to encourage them to learn to fly, and for their
parents to inspire moral support. Females account for only six
percent of the pilot population. More often than not, women suppress
their dreams of flight because it is hammered into their heads
that flying is boys stuff. For those who know different, the site
offers not only information about the most exciting and dedicated
flight school, but also reference links of interest to aviatrices
-- active, aspiring, or reluctant ones. Find lots of information
and interesting facts, peer encouragement, scholarship sources,
and links to other women's aviation sites and to purchase books
by, from, and about famous aviatrices
For the full
flavor you need a browser capable of displaying frames. For
less flavor, you can open three seperate windows, one for the
Main
Menu, another one for the Galleries Menu and one for the actual content.
